I create a warm and compassionate space to help you feel safe and heard. Since everyone’s journey is unique, I’m flexible in adapting my toolbox of interventions to each client’s personal goals. I frequently work with people struggling with anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. I have extensive training in trauma-focused methods, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) through the International Association EMDRIA. I am nationally certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and I utilize Internal Family Systems (IFS) as a foundation for personal growth and self-understanding. I also often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills.
I was born and raised in Wisconsin and currently live south of the Twin Cities with my wife, two cats, and two dogs. All my pets are cuddly, including my 100-pound Bernese mountain dog (who thinks he is a lap dog). In my free time, you will most likely find me practicing my imperfections by doing something creative, such as making wobbly pottery or knitting things with uneven sides.
