I strive to honor the individual strengths and needs of each of my clients and to make therapy an affirming and collaborative space for clients and caregivers. I have extensive experience and training in trauma-informed therapy, as well as therapy techniques useful for managing anxiety, depression, and a wide variety of other clinical concerns. I use a combination of therapy modalities and techniques to individualize the therapy process for each of my clients, in order to both increase the effectiveness of therapy and ensure that my clients feel comfortable and engaged in the therapy process.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling to visit friends, reading, hiking, and caring for my five rescue pets. I spend my mornings relaxing with a hot cup of tea while playing with my dogs. On weekends, I love exploring thrift stores and used bookstores to add to my growing book collection, which now fills most of the wall space in both my living room and den.

  • One of the things I love most about my job is being able to help clients identify and access the inherent strengths and resources that they already possess, and then witnessing their growth.
  • I have training in several unique therapy modalities, including EMDR, TF-CBT, play therapy, sandtray therapy, and narrative therapy. I enjoy finding ways to integrate and enrich various techniques and activities into my practice
  • I enjoy the unique aspects of working with younger children, preteens, and adolescents, and working to find the tools and strategies that best meet my clients’ unique developmental and personal needs.
  • For fun, I obtained an additional Master’s degree (MLIS in Public Librarianship, University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee (2023)) - This was my pandemic project.
