I have many years of experience working with high school and college-aged young adults. I appreciate the diversity of families and enjoy helping couples and larger family units achieve better communication and understanding.
I find it interesting to consider new approaches to entrenched patterns and behaviors, especially in the areas of anxiety, depression, identity, impulse control, effective decision-making, emotional understanding, relationship issues, and the management of self-injury and other addictive behaviors. I’ve raised three children, and I am aware of the complexity and struggles of parenting and family relationships. I find great satisfaction in helping parents develop effective approaches and creative ways to assist and love their children through the tumultuous teen years and beyond.
I was raised in the mountains of New Jersey (yes, there are mountains in Jersey!). While I have also lived in Pennsylvania, Florida, and New York, my favorite location is the mountains — probably a boyhood thing! I am a huge baseball fan and enjoy watching anyone play, from tee-ball to professional, and still collect baseball cards as a hobby. I enjoy traveling by car, and have driven from coast to coast. I hope to visit as many national and state parks as possible. Get me out in nature and I'm good!
