I work to keep things calm and comfortable in the therapeutic space, giving clients the space to feel heard and understood. I value building a connection and meeting clients where they are, especially when working with things like gender identity and sexuality. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure and response prevention (ERP) to work on things like anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

I grew up in Iowa before moving to Minnesota and falling in love with Minneapolis. I enjoy attending concerts with my wife, hiking with our rescue pit bulls, playing soccer, exploring coffee shops around the city, and reading all kinds of fiction.

  • I’ve been told that my vibe in therapy (and other walks of life) is “seafoam green.”
  • I have been extensively trained in treatment for anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder and previously worked with clients in partial hospitalization. I work to incorporate creativity and fun into exposures that can be difficult to approach.
  • I am a group facilitator for Ballard Clinic’s LGBTQIA+ group, and I connect well with teens and young adults within the queer community.
  • I have experience writing letters for gender affirming care.
  • I am a Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy approved supervisor, and I enjoy offering guidance and supervision to those new to the mental health field.
